Hightower Basketball Skills Academy Basketball Tryouts (HBSA)

The tryouts for HBSA will be on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 1-3pm at Starland Complex in Hanover, MA for youth boys age 13-14.  The HBSA team will travel to different states in New England, the Tri-State area, and throughout the country to compete in Basketball tournaments starting in December 2017. 

The tryout fee is $30 non-refundable per player.  If selected, the team fee will be $400 per player.  Additional fees apply per player to compete in the National AAU tournament. 

Players must indicate their grade, height, weight, and basketball experience to Coach Hightower by email to [email protected] (Subject Line "Reapers") or by text to 617-308-7136 prior to the tryout.

It is expected that the team will compete in nearly 8 or more different tournaments.  The tryouts are for a limited amount of positions. 

Players that make the first cut on Saturday will be invited to train with HBSA on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 12pm-4pm at Thayer Academy, 745 Washington St., Braintree, MA where a second cut will be made. 

A limited amount of players not selected for the Reapers travel team will be selected to participate in practices and HBSA trainings where they may earn a spot on the travel team.  

Participants must have passing grades in school to be selected for the team and to play. Participants should have aspirations of competing at the college and/or professional level.   

The HBSA trainings are intense and players participating in the tryouts must be in good basketball condition.

Practices are staffed by working professionals, former Division I, professional, and NBA basketball players where players have access to premier skill development.
